Artikel Google, Artikel News,Google whose work in the wearable field include Google Glass and Android Platform, is now working on computer that can be injected directly into people’s eyeballs.
According to the patent documents filed by Google the device will be injected into the eyeballs in fluid that then solidifies to couple the device with the eyes lens capsule and replace natural lens. In simple words, it's a computing device within your eye.
It will have tiny components such as storage, sensors, radio, battery and an electronic lens. The device will derive power wirelessly from an energy harvesting antenna.
The patent describes what appears to be an external device to interface with eyeball computer. They will communicate through a radio and the 'interface device' has a processor that will handle computing.
The lens is designed to to assist in focusing light on the retina, which will result in correction of poor vision.
This is not the first time Google has worked on technology for the human eye. In early 2014, it worked on a Google Contact Lens that measured the glucose level in tears to help people with diabetes. This project is now part Alphabet's Verily division that focuses on life sciences.
